Welcome to The Kirkland Tap & Trotter, James Beard award-winning Chef Tony Maws’ inviting and funky interpretation of a neighborhood joint. KT&T’s food is simple, hearty and approachable. It’s how Tony cooks at home for friends and family. At the center of the kitchen is our hardwood grill where you will find us cooking up grilled meats, fish, vegetables and other fare.
Tony has designed an affordable menu with a range of items, including many options to share and weekly specials, such as our Sunday $16 Special on Sunday evenings (every week, we feature a special for just $16), Hot Dog Mondays, $2 Grilled Oyster Wednesdays, Kids Eat Free Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 – 6:30 pm, and a Weekend Brunch Menu, making it easy and enjoyable to eat here often.
Beverage choices are representative of things we like to drink. Try something from our expansive beer list, a straightforward and delicious house-made cocktail, or one of our many wines by the glass with our usual preference toward wines with a bit of funk.
We are open for dinner and drinks seven days a week starting at 5:30 pm, and brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am-2:00 pm!
Celebrity Chef Hot Dog Summer Series
Get ready for a summer full of amazing hot dogs – created by top Boston chefs – whose names are in just about everyone’s “Who’s Who” of Boston chefdom!
Beginning Monday, June 1st, Chef Tony Maws will be opening KT&T’s kitchen to the well-known chefs below. Each of these chefs will create a unique, limited-time-only version of their “Top [Hot] Dog,” and will be at KT&T in-person to present their dogs on the first night of their series.
Mark Your Calendars! Here’s the full Guest Chef’s Top Dog Schedule:
- June: Ken Oringer – Clio, Coppa, Toro, Earth (June 1)
- July: Matt Jennings –Townsman (June 29)
- August: Karen Akunowicz –Myers + Chang (August 3)
- September: Jody Adams –Rialto, Trade (August 31)
Guest chefs will be present on the dates listed; their hot dog creations will be available each Monday until the next chef’s appearance.
You will also receive a punch card on the first Monday night you visit, encouraging you to try every chef’s dogs. If you order all four dogs, you’ll be automatically entered in a drawing for a chance to work with Tony Maws’ team and create your own hot dog – to be featured on our October menu!
It only gets better: We’re donating 50% of the Guest Dog proceeds to Share Our Strength, a national charity working to end childhood hunger in the U.S.
